No, you don’t have to open a bank account in Greece to buy a house, It is possible to transfer the amount from your country’s bank account straight to the Seller’s.

 

2. CAN I PAY CASH TO BUY A HOUSE IN GREECE?

Not anymore, buying a property in Greece is illegal to pay with cash, the transaction must happen through bank account.

  

3. WHAT ARE MY EXPENSES?

 Your expenses as Buyer are:

  • Lawyer (for research of the property to the land registry)
